The Clos des Ursules is a 2.75ha enclave within the Vignes Franches premier cru purchased by Louis Henry Denis Jadot in 1826, which has remained a solely owned property (monopole) of the Jadot family ever since. As part of Louis Jadot’s celebration of 150 years of fine winemaking, the 2007 Beaune premier cru Clos des Ursules will be exclusively bottled in magnums.
Lovely aromas of liquorice and cherry and a light vanilla note. Impossible not to want to taste this. Compared with many 2007s at this level, quite a firm grip but tannins are fine and smooth. Good colour too.
